Day 108

Dear Daddy, 

Mommy worked today so I stayed with Grandma today until it was time to pick her up. After that, we came home and had lunch. I was pretty tired and so was Mommy so we took a short nap, for about an hour and then when I woke up we started getting ready because we were going to see Santa at the mall. Mommy got me dressed and put my Santa hat on and we all went to the mall. As soon as I saw Santa I started running because I wanted to get on his knee and ask him for everything I wanted. I took some great pictures and told him that even though I wanted a Mickey Mouse and some trucks, I really, more than anything, just wanted you to come home.

We shopped around and then we called Grandma Adela to see if she was off and wanted a ride home. She met up with us and we all headed home. We all sat down and had a nice yummy dinner and then Grandpa came over to play with me. I was tired again and Mommy has started something called "weaning" with me so I don't get the boob much anymore. I'm being good about it though, Mommy said she expected more of a fight and that it makes her sad that I'm growing up.

Day 107

Dear Daddy,

Today was Monday, which means that Mommy was off today. We had lots of things to do today so after we woke up, we ate breakfast and got ready for our day. First, we went to the post office, then to Micheals, Kmart and Rite Aid. After that, we went to Tanforan to buy Grandma Adela a present. I had my lunch that Mommy packed for me there because we ended up taking longer than we expected. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car on the way home and slept for about an hour or two. Mommy took a nap with me too because she was exhausted as well. When I woke up I played with Mommy and soon it was time for dinner. Grandpa didn't come over today but I played a whole lot with Mommy so it was ok.

Day 106

Dear Daddy,

Today was Sunday and Mommy didn't have to work today and we slept in til 8:30. When I got up I went to the kitchen and told Mommy that I was hungry. Mommy made me a very yummy  breakfast for me, she made a scrambled egg with some cheddar cheese and some mashed banana and apple sauce. I also ate a yogurt. I was so full after breakfast that Mommy and I decided to play soccer so I wouldn't be too full. Mommy got me dressed because Grandma Adela and Grandpa Toño were going to come by around 10:30 to have breakfast with us. Mommy started setting the table but the forks kept disappearing because I kept taking them and putting them in my toy bin. Mommy discovered me but instead of getting mad she hugged me real tight and said that she loved me so much. 

Grandma and Grandpa came over and they all ate. Grandpa played with me and later, Tio Eve, Tia Nico, Tio Elmer, Tia Ely and Baby Alicia came over. Alicia is so big now, not as big as I am but she is not a little tiny baby anymore. I can't wait until I can play with her. I kept bringing her some of my toys but she didn't play with them. Soon everyone went home and we got ready to leave too. 

We went and got our Christmas tree! I had fun choosing the right one and they tied it to the car and we brought it home. Mommy  and Tia Dany started putting the tree up. I loved watching all the strings of lights go up and then Mommy showed me some white birds that she puts on the tree and I started singing "bird bird bird". I really wanted to help but Mommy explained to me that the tree was dangerous  and not a toy and after that I stayed away from it. I would occasionally walk over to it and  look at it and point at it but Mommy said I was a good boy because I wouldn't touch. 

After the tree was up Mommy and I played with my farm and we made farm noises. I kept laughing when she made the chicken noise and then I would make the cow sound  and I would clap after. I had so much fun. They day seemed to pass by so quickly and I was surprised when it was dinner time. I ate and then watched a movie to relax  and then Mommy started getting me ready for bed.

Day 105

Dear Daddy,

Today we had a very busy day. Mommy worked but when she was off we went to a bunch of stores and she did some shopping for Christmas. We didn't buy much but Mommy bought me a huge stocking! I picked it out so I am very proud of it. When we got home, Mommy wrapped a bunch of presents and we wanted to get the rest of our decorations up but we had other things to do that we just didn't have time to do it. Mommy hopes that we can finish tomorrow.

When we got home, Grandma Adela came over and Mommy offered her some left over spaghetti and when I saw her eating some I wanted some so Mommy gave me a plate of spaghetti with red meat sauce and peas on the side. I loved it and got so messy. 

When I was done, Mommy cleaned me up and I played with Grandpa. I had lots of fun today even though we did a whole lot of shopping which I am not really a fan of. I love you so much and miss you more and more each day.

Day104

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to work again but Grandma and Tia Dany were there when I woke up so I was happy. We woke up around 8 and then had some breakfast. 

After awhile, I was getting cranky so Grandma tried to get me to nap with no success. Eventually, we decided to go out so we went to Hillsdale Mall and shopped around. I was so excited to see all the decorations for Christmas at the mall I kept pointing at everything. Mommy got off work so we went to pick her up and now everytime I see a Starbucks, I say "Mama"and want to go inside. I ran over to her when I saw her and she hugged me tight. We went home and I had my lunch while Mommy showered. After she was done she wanted to try to get me to nap since I hadn't slept all day. She thought I was going to fuss and not go to sleep like I have been doing this past week but we both fell asleep. When we woke up Grandma had put up some of the Christmas things. I was so happy and kept looking at everything. Mommy says she wants to finish decorating soon and hopefully get our tree on Sunday. I cant wait to see our tree!

Day 103

Dear Daddy, 

Happy Thanksgiving Daddy! Today I woke up and Grandma was already cooking! It smelled so yummy that I kept going to the kitchen and trying to pass the baby gate because I wanted to see what she was making. Around 11 we went and picked Mommy up from work, she was so tired because she said work was very crazy. We went home and had some lunch, Mommy thought it would be a good idea for me to nap so I wouldn't be a complete cranky mess later but I refused and did not want to go down. Soon Mommy gave up and started getting ready and then got me dressed. Mommy said I looked very handsome and looked like a big boy.

Next, we went to Grandma Adela's house and everyone loved my outfit. They all said I looked handsome and I did look darn good! I was wearing my nice shoes, some pants, a button down shirt and a sweater with my coat over that and my cute hat! Mommy knows how to dress me well!

I played with Grandpa and Beto for awhile and walked all over the place and soon everyone said we were going to eat dinner. We all gave thanks for what we have in life, Mommy and I both Gave thanks for you. You are the best daddy (and husband, Mommy says) we could have asked for. We cant wait for you to come home and have thanksgiving with us.

PS. I kept true to my word, I ate turkey, shoveled it into my mouth. Everyone thought it was funny and Mommy wishes that she could've gotten a video of me doing it but her camera died.

Day 102

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to work again but when she was off we had to go to the grocery store and target to get some things for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I guess we are going over to Grandma Adela's and Grandpa Toño's house and are going to eat lots of yummy food. Mommy has been kind of upset because she says you love Thanksgiving and wont be here with us. But don't worry Daddy, Mommy and I will eat your serving! I'll make you proud! 

When we got home we got dinner ready and then ate. Mommy made some spaghetti and I ate some. It was good. Then I played a little longer and then got ready for bed. I was very tired because I didn't nap much. Mommy says she doesn't know why I am refusing to nap. I guess she's tired because she's old, I have too much to do to be tired!
