Day 105

Dear Daddy,

Today we had a very busy day. Mommy worked but when she was off we went to a bunch of stores and she did some shopping for Christmas. We didn't buy much but Mommy bought me a huge stocking! I picked it out so I am very proud of it. When we got home, Mommy wrapped a bunch of presents and we wanted to get the rest of our decorations up but we had other things to do that we just didn't have time to do it. Mommy hopes that we can finish tomorrow.

When we got home, Grandma Adela came over and Mommy offered her some left over spaghetti and when I saw her eating some I wanted some so Mommy gave me a plate of spaghetti with red meat sauce and peas on the side. I loved it and got so messy. 

When I was done, Mommy cleaned me up and I played with Grandpa. I had lots of fun today even though we did a whole lot of shopping which I am not really a fan of. I love you so much and miss you more and more each day.

Day104

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to work again but Grandma and Tia Dany were there when I woke up so I was happy. We woke up around 8 and then had some breakfast. 

After awhile, I was getting cranky so Grandma tried to get me to nap with no success. Eventually, we decided to go out so we went to Hillsdale Mall and shopped around. I was so excited to see all the decorations for Christmas at the mall I kept pointing at everything. Mommy got off work so we went to pick her up and now everytime I see a Starbucks, I say "Mama"and want to go inside. I ran over to her when I saw her and she hugged me tight. We went home and I had my lunch while Mommy showered. After she was done she wanted to try to get me to nap since I hadn't slept all day. She thought I was going to fuss and not go to sleep like I have been doing this past week but we both fell asleep. When we woke up Grandma had put up some of the Christmas things. I was so happy and kept looking at everything. Mommy says she wants to finish decorating soon and hopefully get our tree on Sunday. I cant wait to see our tree!

Day 103

Dear Daddy, 

Happy Thanksgiving Daddy! Today I woke up and Grandma was already cooking! It smelled so yummy that I kept going to the kitchen and trying to pass the baby gate because I wanted to see what she was making. Around 11 we went and picked Mommy up from work, she was so tired because she said work was very crazy. We went home and had some lunch, Mommy thought it would be a good idea for me to nap so I wouldn't be a complete cranky mess later but I refused and did not want to go down. Soon Mommy gave up and started getting ready and then got me dressed. Mommy said I looked very handsome and looked like a big boy.

Next, we went to Grandma Adela's house and everyone loved my outfit. They all said I looked handsome and I did look darn good! I was wearing my nice shoes, some pants, a button down shirt and a sweater with my coat over that and my cute hat! Mommy knows how to dress me well!

I played with Grandpa and Beto for awhile and walked all over the place and soon everyone said we were going to eat dinner. We all gave thanks for what we have in life, Mommy and I both Gave thanks for you. You are the best daddy (and husband, Mommy says) we could have asked for. We cant wait for you to come home and have thanksgiving with us.

PS. I kept true to my word, I ate turkey, shoveled it into my mouth. Everyone thought it was funny and Mommy wishes that she could've gotten a video of me doing it but her camera died.

Day 102

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to work again but when she was off we had to go to the grocery store and target to get some things for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I guess we are going over to Grandma Adela's and Grandpa Toño's house and are going to eat lots of yummy food. Mommy has been kind of upset because she says you love Thanksgiving and wont be here with us. But don't worry Daddy, Mommy and I will eat your serving! I'll make you proud! 

When we got home we got dinner ready and then ate. Mommy made some spaghetti and I ate some. It was good. Then I played a little longer and then got ready for bed. I was very tired because I didn't nap much. Mommy says she doesn't know why I am refusing to nap. I guess she's tired because she's old, I have too much to do to be tired!

Day 101

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to work and I stayed with Grandma but since she had to work at noon and my nose was very runny so Grandpa came over and stayed with me while Grandma went to work and Mommy got home. I had a good time, Grandpa even took me for a little walk and I fell asleep for a little bit. Mommy got home right after we did and I was very happy to see her. Grandpa stayed until Mommy had some lunch and then I watched a video so Mommy could take a shower. I was very cranky because I didn't take a long nap so Mommy thought it was probably time for us to take a nap. After about an hour of Mommy trying to get me to sleep she gave up and let me go play. She was not happy because she was very tired since it was her first day back at work after being off for about five days. She played with me though and let me watch a video. I sat in my chair to watch it and she got to take a short nap while my movie played. Soon I ate dinner and then played with Grandpa and Grandma when they came over.

Day 100

Dear Dadddy,

100 days! And I miss you so much! It seems like we havent seen you in such a long time. Mommy and I both agree that we can't wait for you to come home, it just isn't the same without you. I was so happy to see you on the computer yesterday even though I was half asleep and feeling icky. But this morning I ran to the laptop and pointed at it hoping you'd be there but Mommy said that you wouldn't be on til after I was sleeping. 

I woke up a little bit better but I was still not feeling at my best. I ate breakfast and then played and asked Mommy for a video so Mommy let me watch Baby MacDonald while she had breakfast. After the video, Mommy gave me some medicine and then changed me. I was getting really tired so we went down for a nap. We slept for two hours and Grandpa came by to play with me but we were both sleeping so we didn't hear him knock. When we woke up I ate my lunch but I wasnt very hungry. Mommy didn't want to push me to eat because I started making gagging noises so she gave me some yogurt and applesauce. We played and played a whole lot and since I was getting tired and it was time for my afternoon nap, Mommy decided to try and get me to nap. I refused and cried and cried and CRIED! Mommy was upset, she says that I was tired and I needed to nap but I didn't want to. Eventually, after about an hour of trying to get me to sleep she gave up. A little while later Grandpa came over and played with me while Mommy started getting dinner ready for everyone. I had some dinner and ate almost everything except for the chicken that was in my pasta, I kept spitting out the chicken pieces, Mommy wasn't too happy but didn't want to deal with me acting like I was going to throw up. I played some more and soon Grandpa left. Mommy and I played with my ball popper and my instruments and I practiced my running skills all over the living room. I was tired but didn't want to go to bed. I cried for about ten minutes but since I had no nap, my eyelids betrayed me and I fell fast asleep.

Day 99

Dear Daddy,

Last night I had a rough night, when Mommy went to bed I decided that I didn't want to sleep and fussed a whole lot. Mommy wasn't happy. I would fall asleep for a few minutes, ten minutes at the most and then I would wake up and cry. Mommy would pat me down and I would fall asleep but then wake up. No one was happy about that, especially Mommy because she was really tired. I just wanted her to take me out of the crib so I could go outside and play. I eventually fell asleep around 4 for a few hours and at 6:30 I was ready to get up but Mommy wasn't so she kept me in the crib for another half an hour because she was very tired.

By 7 we got up and got ready for church, I had breakfast before we went because Mommy knew that if we went without me eating, I would have a meltdown. I woke up with a very runny nose and was not happy at all but we went to church anyway. Not even halfway through, I started fussing because I was very tired. Mommy eventually took me to the car and put the music on so I could sleep and I did. After church, we went buy bagels and then went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I played with everyone and was so happy even though I was still not feeling too well. We left around noon because Mommy was going to have lunch with Adrienne and she wanted to stop and buy me some medicine before she left. I had lunch and Mommy left and after Mommy left, Grandma and Tia Dany had to go to the store so we went. Since I fell asleep, Grandma waited in the car with me while Tia Dany bought what she needed. Eventually we came home and Mommy was back already and was taking a nap. I was still tired too so we both snuggled up and slept.

When I woke up I was feeling a little bit better, I had my dinner a little bit later and Grandma Adela and Grandpa were going to come over and have dinner. Tio Jesus and Tia Angelica also came over and ate with us and I played with Grandpa and Beto. I was happy to see so many people at home, I wanted to show off and act silly so I showed them how I made silly faces, and did the "Hot Dog" dance from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for them. I also showed them all my toys and everyone would clap. 

Mommy knew I was still very tired so she gave me my medicine and got me ready for bed, I was pooped! Guess the sickness and all the dancing I did wore me out!

Day 98

Dear Daddy,

Today we had a very long day. I woke up around 7:30 and since I was hungry I gobbled up my breakfast. We started getting ready for the day because we were going to go visit Tia Hayde and wanted to be out of the house by 9:30 but we didn't end up leaving until around 10:30. I actually ended up falling asleep in the car but I woke up when we got to Nordstrom Rack. Mommy did some shopping and then we went to another store and after that we got some lunch and then went to Ikea. I was so tired, Daddy, and I was so happy that we were going to home home so I could nap. I ended up falling asleep in the car. When Mommy took me out I had a fit and refused to fall asleep. I wanted to play! So Mommy and I played and later Grandpa came over with some guy that was going to fix something on the computer. I played with Grandpa while they tried to fix the computer and then Grandpa and the man had to leave so I had some dinner and then played a while longer. I was very cranky and tired so Mommy gave me an early bath and then I went right to bed.

Day 97

Dear Daddy,

Today was a pretty busy day and a whole lot more fun than the last days. Mommy was feeling better and we had to go to target to buy some things so we got in the car and went. Mommy says I'm funny because I love riding in shopping carts. I get all excited and point at them because I want to get on. Mommy got a bunch of things and she got mad because I kept pulling things out of the cart and throwing them on the floor. 

After Target we went to Red Robin because Mommy hadn't eaten and she was starting to feel sick. I ate some pasta that Mommy brought for me and a yogurt and when Mommy wasn't looking I tried to steal some of her food and it was spicy so I wasn't happy. I cried and got really mad and wanted to throw her plate on the floor. Mommy knew it was close to naptime and that I was getting cranky but we still had one more stop. At the next store we went to I threw a fit. I wanted to go home and sleep. Grandma took me to the car while Mommy finished buying what she needed and the next thing I knew I had fallen asleep. I took a long nap, I guess. Mommy was taking a nap when I woke up screaming because I had a bad dream but we cuddled and I fell asleep again for another half hour. Then we woke and played. 

Later, Mommy and I played with my Mickey Mouse soccer ball Brandon got me for my birthday and I love when she helps me kick the ball and yells "Goooool!" It's so fun! We also played with the puppets Grandma Koko got me for my birthday, they are farm puppets and we sang Old MacDonald and I love when Mommy makes the animal noises. I can only make the cow noise. Soon it was time for me to eat dinner and I ate everthing that Mommy made for me. It was so yummy! 

Grandpa and Grandma came over so I played with Grandpa while everyone else had dinner. I started getting fussy so Mommy said it was time for bed. I took my bath and then Mommy read to me and then I went straight to bed.

Day 96

Dear Daddy,

I woke up with Grandma since she has been watching me the past few nights that Mommy has been sick because the medicine Mommy takes makes her so sleepy she usually doesn't hear me when I wake up. We let Mommy sleep in so she could get some rest because Grandma said she really needs it. I was happy when Mommy woke up at nine thirty, I ran and gave her a huge hug. Mommy ate breakfast and I told her that I had already eaten but when Mommy was eating some eggs, I wanted some too so she shared with me. We played a little but then Mommy and I wanted to take a nap so we did. We took a very long nap so we woke up feeling great. Grandpa and Grandma came over before dinner and I ate fast so I could play with Grandpa.

I was very tired even though I slept a whole lot, so I didn't fuss when Mommy put me to bed. She was going to go see a movie with Tia Dany and said that she would be back very late and to be good and guess what Daddy? I obeyed her and fell fast asleep.

Day 95

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy had to go to work even though she was sick, and I stayed with Grandma until it was time to pick Mommy up. When we picked her up she told us that she didn't have to work until Tuesday, so I was happy because that means Mommy gets to take care of me!

We came home and I took a nice long nap with Mommy, she was really tired because the medicine the doctor gave her makes her tired. I was good and let her rest until it was time to get up. Mommy played with me for awhile and then fed me my dinner. I got to play with Grandpa and Grandma came over too. Soon, I got ready for bed and I fell asleep soon too. It was a very boring day Daddy, I hope Mommy feels better soon so it can start being more exciting.

Day 94

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy worked so I stayed with Grandma. We just stayed around the house and played until it was time to go get Mommy. Mommy and I got home and had lunch and then played for a little bit. We were both tired but only I took a nap because Mommy was coughing a whole lot and she couldn't fall asleep so she and just relaxed on the couch while I slept. When I woke up we started playing and got some more things for your Christmas present and Mommy started feeling really sick and coughing a whole lot. She put me in the crib because she couldn't stop coughing. I couldn't see her but I could hear her coughing. She coughed forever! Soon, she was able to stop coughing so much and she got dinner ready and fed me. Grandma got home and she told Mommy that she had to go to the doctor so we did. Mommy was in the doctor's for awhile. When she came out she told us that we needed to go get some medicine so we did. Grandma Adela came with us too. We went home and Mommy had to use a weird machine for breathing, I wanted to try it because it looked like fun but they didn't let me so I played with Grandpa instead. I played for awhile and soon Grandma and Grandpa went home and I started getting ready for bed.

Day 93

Dear Daddy,

Today was a very busy day. Mommy was off today so we took advantage of it and worked on your Christmas present. We got one of your gifts and are currently working on the other one. It's exhausting! Mommy is all stressed out because she says Christmas is gonna bite her in the butt...I think she's being silly, how is that supposed to happen anyway? Mommy took me to the park today and I got to play until it was time to go home for lunch. Mommy says she can't turn her back on me for three seconds because I make a huge mess. While she was getting lunch ready I decided to help her, since I saw laundry sitting there. I also helped her rearrange books and toys. She wasn't too happy though, she said that the living room looked like it got hit by Hurricane Gabriel. She's so funny! 

I wish I could tell you everything we did but that would give away a whole lot of your gift! Mommy says she can't wait for you to get the present, I tell her she needs to hurry up and finish it so we can mail it already. This woman, I tell ya!

We did take a nap though, well I did, she was too busy working on the gift and folding laundry, cleaning up and helping Tia Dany with her homework. When I woke up we had more things to work on and then we ate dinner. Mommy and I played for awhile and then Grandma and Grandpa came over and played with me while Mommy ate. I started getting tired so Mommy got me ready for bed and read a few books to me. I nursed and then I went to my crib to sleep. Such a busy day!

Day 92

Dear Daddy,

Last night I kept Mommy up for a very long time. I woke up around 11:30 and wouldn't go back to sleep. I finally gave in around 12:30 and then I woke up around 3 and threw a fit because Mommy wanted me to sleep. I bit her when I was nursing and she got angry. I was mad because she didn't let me nurse and I started screaming and yelling "No no no" at her. I decided to be difficult for her and she really wasn't happy. She put me back in my crib but I kept screaming. I fell asleep for about half an hour and then started screaming again. Mommy tried to nurse me but I just wanted to get up and play. She wasn't feeling well because she had been coughing a whole lot and she kept telling me that she wanted to rest. I wasn't giving in. Grandma came in around 5 and told Mommy that she would try to get me to sleep and she did but I woke up later and and started screaming. Finally, I fell asleep around 7 and then we woke up at 10:30. I ate breakfast and then got ready for the day. 

Mommy had to be at work at 1:15 so we went and dropped her off and then Grandma, Tia Dany and I went to the mall. We then went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a little and then headed on over to Hayward. I played with Tio Enrique, Gerardo and Grandpa and later I took a nap. When we were done, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house and I got to see Alicia, Tia Ely and Tia Nico too. I was getting tired so we went home and got ready for bed. Grandma put me to bed because Mommy wasn't going to be home till around 9:30 because she had a meeting at work. I missed Mommy very much today, I'm not used to her not tucking me in at night but Grandma said that when Mommy got home she would tell her to go and kiss me goodnight.

Day 91

Dear Daddy,

Today was a busy day! After I woke up, I ate breakfast and then helped Grandma do some laundry. She says I'm her special helper! Doing laundry really wears me out, so when Grandma went to take a shower, she put me in my chair to watch a movie and I fell asleep. Grandma said I was snoring very loudly, I tell her I must have gotten that from you and Mommy since you guys both snore. Later, we went to pick Mommy up from work and then headed to Palo Alto to visit Tia Hayde for a little while. And after that, we went to the Apple store in Burlingame because Mommy needed the Apple guys to fix something with her laptop. While Mommy was getting the laptop fixed, Grandma and I walked around and we went to Gymboree. Grandma bought Alex, Nicky and I some vests there and I loved mine, it's so puffy and it's yellow. I put my vest on right away. Since Mommy and Grandma hadn't eaten anything we stopped at Crepevine to eat. Mommy shared some of her crepe and when she wasn't looking I snatched some lettuce off her plate. I thought it was a leaf from a tree, or some grass, and I was wondering why every time that I try to eat a leaf or some grass at the park they always tell me "no, no" but there they were, having it for lunch? It was gross. I started gagging and thew the lettuce on the floor. I'm never trying that again!

We finally went home and relaxed after our long day. Mommy and played with my toys and then she finished setting up the internet while I tried to take all the picture frames away and she got mad because I started throwing them. I made a silly face at her and blew a kiss and I could tell she was trying very hard to not laugh. Who can resist my cuteness?

I was so tired that around 7:30 I kept pointing to the room and when Mommy didn't understand what I wanted I walked over and pulled out a pair of PJs. So we got ready for bed, read our books and then I went right to sleep. 

I Love you Daddy, I know we still have a long wait ahead until you come home, but Mommy and I keep dreaming of the day that we can both hug and kiss you and not have to worry about you leaving again,

Day 90

Dear Daddy,

Today was a pretty boring day again. Mommy went to work so I had to stay with Grandma. Mommy actually started at 8 and I was happy when I woke up because I saw her there but I saw her in her work clothes and I knew she would be leaving soon. I cried when she went but Grandma Adela came over early and stayed with me while Grandma Koko took Mommy to work. So that morning, I got to play with both of my grandmas! It was cool. We all had breakfast and then played with my toys and soon we took Grandma Adela home. I really wanted to see Tia Brenda and Great Grandma Nena so I got to play with them for a little while. Quetzali was there too and she was being kind of mean to me and didn't want to share her toys. She kept hitting me and it made me sad. I don't hit back cause I'm a gentleman and I don't hit girls, Mommy always says I have to share my toys even if I don't want to, I think her Mommy should tell her that too. Maybe she was just cranky though because we usually play very well.

We went and picked Mommy up and I took a nap in the car so in the afternoon I did not want to nap. Mommy and I played and relaxed but I didn't sleep. We went to Best Buy after dinner because Mommy needed to buy something for the computer. I don't know what she bought because I fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up until we got home. Since it was kind of late, Mommy put my PJs on and then we got ready for bed and read three books. I was so exhausted that I was dozing off while Mommy was reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" to me.

Day 89

Dear Daddy,
Today was Mommy's first day back at work after almost 5 days of staying home with me. I really missed her today and I kept forgetting that she went to work so I kept saying "Mama" and asking Grandma when she was coming home. We eventually went to pick her up and I ran to give her a hug when I saw her. I was so happy I covered her face in kisses and boogies but Mommy didn't care because she missed me very much too.
We went to Red Robin for lunch and I had some of Mommy's burger and I also had some fruit. When I got home I was still hungry so I had some more food and then I played with my toys. Mommy and I started working on your Christmas present but I got cranky so we didn't get as much done as we wanted to. We eventually just took a nap and later Grandma Adela showed up and knocked on the door really loud and woke us up. We were scared and not too happy to be awaken like that, I was crying for a good 5 minutes and didn't really want to play with anyone because I was so tired. It took me about 15 minutes until I wanted to play and then I was just non stop. Grandpa and I played while Mommy had dinner and Grandma had some coffee. Then I ate and played some more and soon they had to leave and we started getting ready for bed. I had to have the dreaded icky medicine again and then Mommy read to me.

Day 88

Dear Daddy,
Today I woke up feeling a little bit better, guess the yucky medicine did help...I hate to admit that I guess the woman was right, for once. But I still had to take the yucky medicine even though I told Mommy I felt better.
Mommy told me that a lady from my favorite yogurts read my blog and YoBaby did a feature on us on their facebook page so we had a lot of people telling us that they loved my blog. I was so excited, Mommy and I started this blog and we didn't really think anyone but you would really read it so for people to tell us that they think me writing to you is touching is really cool.
The day was a pretty boring day, we mostly enjoyed our last day before Mommy went to work so we played around with all my toys and just relaxed. Tia Dany had no school because it was Veterans Day so she played with us too. I took a nap around 10 and I woke up at like 10:30 and was not very happy at all. Mommy and Grandma were gone and Tia Dany went to get me from my crib. She told me that Mommy and Grandma took a whole bunch of boxes to the storage unit and they didn't bring me along because I was sleeping. So she played with me and read me some books and Mommy was home very soon. I was so tired that when I saw Mommy I walked over to the bed and pointed to it because I wanted to take a nap, so we took a nice long nap.
By the time I woke up it was lunch time, Mommy got my lunch ready and Grandma fed me while Mommy took a shower. Then we just played and I watched a movie and we took a nap later on.
Grandpa and Grandma came over and we all had dinner and played together. I was so tired and went down to bed around 7:45 and by 8 I was already snoring.

Day 87

Dear Daddy,

Today I woke up and wasn't feeling too well, Mommy put a video on for me and I fell asleep again. When I woke up I was really fussy and I didn't really want to eat breakfast. Mommy called the doctor and they told her to take me in at 10 so we got ready and left. Turns out, I have a double ear infection. I was very fussy all day, but I was glad that Mommy was home all day again. After my appointment, Mommy had to go to Target to buy some things and Grandma and I waited in the car. After Mommy was done buying her things we went home and ate lunch. We played for a little bit and then I watched a movie while Mommy took a shower. I love Mommy being home because I can take nice long naps with her and nurse all I want. After Mommy showered, we took a nice nap and then when I woke up, she was cleaning and getting some things ready for dinner.
Grandpa came over for a little bit and then he left again because he was going to pick up my medicine at the pharmacy. While he was gone, I had dinner and then by the time he came back we played a little bit and then I got ready for bed so he went bye-bye. Mommy had to give me my medicine, I really hated it and I almost thew up. I never want to take that medicine ever again but Mommy says I have to take for 5 days, twice a day and hopefully that will make me feel better. I hope so, I'm tired of being sick!

Day 86

Dear Daddy,

Today was a very big day for me. I walk now! I took about 15 steps from the refrigerator to my toy bin and Mommy started going crazy, clapping and screaming "yay Gabriel!" at me and like, crying. She was just being silly. But now the world should fear me, because I am completely mobile! I must master running though, because walking isn't fast enough for me. Mommy managed to get a video of me walking right after I had walked to the toy bin.

When Grandma and Grandpa came to visit I surprised them by walking over to them and they were so happy. 

On another note, I woke up feeling crummy today because I had a horribly runny nose and was fussy all day long. I hate that Mommy has been giving me medicine and saying that I am going to feel better but I don't. I'm glad Mommy is here to take care of me and cuddle with me though, I don't want her to go back to work on Thursday. 

Mommy says that we will probably go to the doctor's tomorrow just to be on the safe side and make sure my ears are clear and that everything is ok.

Miss you Daddy, and wish you were here to see me walk around but I promise that when you come home I will run up to you and give you a huge hug.

Day 85

Dear Daddy,

Today was a very relaxed day. Mommy and I woke up around 8 and then went out to the living room and I played while Mommy got breakfast going for me. I had some oatmeal and some fruit and then when I was done I wanted some puffs. After breakfast, Mommy and I watched Mickey's Clubhouse. Around 10, I started getting fussy because I was tired and wanted to nap so Mommy and I went and took a nice long nap. We woke up around 12:30 and ate lunch and played with my trucks and then we played ball too. I practiced walking around a whole lot today too so I was tired after awhile and wanted to watch a movie. Around 3, we went down for our afternoon nap and fell asleep for two more hours. When we woke up, we went and played and Mommy got dinner ready and then Grandpa showed up. I played my drum for Grandpa and then read some books to him until it was time for me to eat. I was very hungry and gobbled everything up! Soon, Grandpa had to go and I practiced my walking some more and took a few steps that Mommy caught on camera for you. I kept trying to run and then I got tired so the steps that Mommy caught on camera weren't that great, but I'm starting to get the hang of walking more and more every day. I know that when you come home I will be able to run into your arms and give you a big hug and kiss.

Day 84

Dear Daddy,

I have some good news, Mommy isn't working until Thursday! The doctor told her she  couldn't go back until Wednesday but she's not scheduled so I have a bunch of days to be with her. I'm so happy even though I know Mommy is staying home because she's sick.

Today we started the day at around 7, we got up and had some breakfast and then waited for Mommy and Grandma to have breakfast. After Mommy ate, I was getting tired and wanted to take a nap, so I did. When I woke up, Mommy and Grandma had to go to make a payment at JcPenny's and buy somethings at Target so I went with them. We only payed and then bought some things and we went home because Mommy wasn't feeling well. 

I got a new truck! Mommy had bought it for me for Christmas but Grandma didn't know that and she accidentally gave it to me. Mommy wasn't mad though because I loved it. It's a blue tow truck and it talks. Mommy says I'm 100% boy because I love trucks and balls, what did she expect me to like? Dolls and tea sets? Sheesh woman!

We normally take an afternoon nap but I didn't want to so I was cranky around 5. Mommy wasn't feeling well so she lay down and then Grandma tried to put me down for a nap. I only slept for about half an hour though, and woke up very cranky. Grandma Adela and Grandpa showed up later and they cheered me up. Grandpa played with me so Mommy could eat dinner.

 

I went to bed around 8, after I had my medicine, and fell fast asleep, I was exhausted!  When Mommy went in to check on me I was hugging My Mickey like this.

Day 83

Dear Daddy,

Today was Friday and Mommy had to work. My nose was very runny all day long but it seemed like I was getting better. When Mommy got off work, we took her to the doctors because she was still really sick. The doctor said she had the flu and gave her some medicine. We went to drop off the prescription at the pharmacy but couldn't pick it up because Grandma had to go to work and if we waited for it, she would've been late. We went home and I had lunch and then Mommy took a shower and then we decided to watch a movie while we took a nap. We watched Twilight  but about 10 minutes into it we both fell asleep. When we woke up it was almost time for dinner so Mommy started getting dinner ready for everyone. Grandma Adela and Grandpa Toño came over and we played while Mommy finished dinner. I ate my dinner and then everyone ate when I was done. I was so tired but I had to stay up til around nine because Mommy hat to give me my medicine at that time. I watched a movie and Mommy tired to clean and rearragne my toys but she got really tired. Then she put me to bed a little after nine. I fell asleep right away.

Day 82

Dear Daddy,

Today was a pretty boring day since I am still recovering and so is everyone else. I woke up at 6:30 to see Grandma next to me. I was sad and started crying and saying "Mama" over and over again. I had breakfast and then I played a whole lot. My favorite toy lately is the laundry basket. I love taking it and putting all my toys and then pushing it all around. It gets on everyone's nerve because the things I put in there I start hiding all over the house. Earlier, Grandma couldn't find the remote control to the TV and it was because I threw it in the trash can. 

We went to pick up Mommy from work and then she had to stop 

at the post office to pick up boxes for the care package we've been trying to send you. Mommy apologizes that it's taking forever to send them but we will try our best to send them tomorrow. Mommy hopes that she can get a doctor's appointment after work tomorrow so hopefully she will have time to take the boxes to the post office. You should see her, you always joke that she looks green and yellow but this time she looks neon yellow highlighter colored. Anyway, here I am trying to mail myself to you. I guess I'm too fat cause I dont fit in the box.

We took went into the room and started to watch Elf but I fell asleep and so did Mommy. By the time we woke up it was getting close to dinner time. Grandpa showed up and played with me while Mommy ate and relaxed a little and got my dinner ready. I made a huge mess and Mommy was not looking forward to picking it up because there were toys everywhere. She fed me, and let me play a little while, then I pooped so I said bye to Grandpa and Mommy went and cleaned me and then put in Baby Einstein so she could drink her tea and medicine, then give me my medicine, which I cant take for another 45 minutes, and then we plan on getting ready for bed and going to sleep.

Keep your fingers crossed that Mommy feels better because she says she does not feel good at all. And you know that she's not feeling well because when she picked my toys up, she didn't organize them (and we both know how OCD she gets, remember the crayons?).

Day 81

Dear Daddy,

So we're still sick. Mommy feels worse but thankfully she didn't have to work today. Grandma feels better and Tia Dani is almost recovered. Mommy says she feels and looks like poop. I feel a tiny bit better, I mean, I have tons of energy still and have been eating well. I was glad Mommy was home today because I got to nurse a whole lot and we napped like 3 times. That's pretty much all we did, lounge around and try to get better. I hope we are all better tomorrow. I am going to miss Mommy while she's at work.

Day 80

Dear Daddy,

Today was a very rough day. I started the morning waking Mommy up right before 2am because I had a fever and was throwing up. Mommy was worried and crying but she changed me, washed my face, took my temperature and gave me Motrin. I went back to sleep right after that but she says that she couldn't sleep until right before her alarm went off so she could go to work.

When I woke up I did eat and felt ok but as soon as the medication wore off, I started getting warm again. Grandma gave me Motrin and then she called Dr. Madanant's office for an appointment. After Mommy got off at 11, we went straight to Dr. Madanant's and they checked me out. I weigh 27 lbs 14 oz and he said all I had was a simple cold. He told Mommy to give me Motrin for the fever and Dimetap for my runny nose and to check back in a few days if symptoms get worse. He wasn't concerned with my throwing up because I only threw up once and ate just fine. 

We went home and I took a nap with Mommy because she had to be back at work at 6:30. When Mommy woke up she felt horrible. She had a fever, the chills and a horrible aching body. She had to suck it up and go to work anyway though. I missed her a whole lot, I kept saying "Mama" and standing by the window or pointing at her picture. I wanted to snuggle up. Grandma fed me dinner and then gave me a bath, and we waited for Mommy to get home. Her meeting ended close to nine so she didn't get home until around 9:15. She put me right to bed and then I fell asleep. Only to wake up twenty minutes later crying bloody murder. She came in and patted me down and I fell right asleep. Then I woke up crying again and she just gave up and brought her to bed with me. I hope we get better soon. Being sick is horrible!

Day 79

Dear Daddy,

Today Mommy didn't have to work so I was so happy to see her next to me when I woke up. We woke up and played and then had some breakfast together. She had an omelette and shared with me. We started getting ready for the day because we had a lot of things to do.

We had to go to Stanford with both Grandmas so Mommy could fix something about a bill but I took a nap. When I woke up we were in Olive Garden. I had some breadsticks and some of Mommy's pasta. After we finished eating we went to Costco to buy some things to send you. When we got home we started packing them up, thinking we had enough boxes for what were going to send you but we were wrong. We needed to go to the post office to get another one but I was tired and we decided to go after my nap. When I woke up though, the post office was closed already so the box would have to wait.

I played with my drums and toys. Here I am drumming away. I love playing with my instruments that Tia Dany got me for my birthday.

Day 78

Dear Daddy,

Today I woke up with Mommy next to me because she didn't have to work until around 7. When she left I ate breakfast and then we got ready for church. At church I decided to not behave very well and scream and squak like a bird. When church was over we went home for a little while and then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. I played with Grandpa and Beto and I got to see Alicia too. She's getting so big everyone says but she still looks tiny to me so I don't want to play with her just yet.

Mommy came from work and had some tostadas and gorditas that Tia Angelica made but I didn't get any. Everyone kept saying how yummy they were but didn't share. Finally, we came home so I could nap and when I woke up it was dark outside. Mommy said that she didn't like the time change, but I don't know what she's talking about. I went and had dinner and then Tio Jesus, Tia Angelica, Jesusito and Beto came over and we all played. I went to bed pretty late but I was so tired I was asleep right away!

Day 77

Dear Daddy,

BOO! Today was Halloween! In the morning Grandma dressed me up in my Mickey Mouse Costume in the morning and where ever we went people were gushing on how cute I was. When we went to pick Mommy up from work we stopped at BJs for lunch. I had some tomato soup and it was very yummy. After that we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's so they could see me in my Mickey costumeWe went home and I napped with Mommy because she wanted me to be well rested for trick or treating. We woke up close to 5:30 and then I had dinner and we got dressed to go out.

We went down to Burlingame Avenue for a little bit and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's so they could see me in my Captain Hook outfit. Grandpa took me out around the apartments and I got more candy. I didn't eat any though, cause I don't really like it, Mommy gave me a lick of a lollypop but I hated it and decided to play with Beto and Grandpa instead. I handed out some candy to kids too.

Soon, it was time to get home and I took my bath and went down to bed because I was very tired.

Day 76

Dear Daddy,

Today was a very boring day, Mommy had to work so I had to stay with Grandma. We just played and did some cleaning. Finally, we went and picked Mommy up and then came home and had lunch. We relaxed and then went and took a nap. When I woke up we went to the living room and played when we heard a knock on the door. I went to look through the mail slot and saw that it was Grandma Adela and Grandpa. So we opened the door and then I played with everyone. It was so much fun. I love having visitors.

Even though we didn't do much, I was very tired so I was happy to start getting ready for bed and going to sleep.
